Eddie Grigg,, nominated for the Committee on Nominations , Is a member of Germantown UMC.  She’s part of the McKendree District, and she resides in Germantown.  She was President of her local unit in 1986 and 1987.  She’s also held the office of Spiritual Growth Coordinator, Education and Interpretation Coordinator.  She’s also held the district offices of President, Spiritual Growth and Parlimentarian.

 

 

Delores Smith, nominated for Treasurer, lives in Trenton, Tennessee with her husband of 33 years, Tony. They have three sons, Chris, Kyle, and Hunter. Delores is a member of Milan First United Methodist Church. She is currently employed as Administrative Assistant at Grace United Methodist Church in Jackson, Tennessee. She is the district lay leader for the Brownsville District.

    Delores has served in many areas of United Methodist Women, local, district and conference. She is currently serving as Conference Vice President. Delores’ love for the organization of United Methodist Women began in her local unit, but that love became a passion when she attended Assembly in 1994 in Cincinnati. Learning what it truly meant to be a global church inspired her to want to be a part of God’s work in this ministry. She has had many mentors along the way and her prayer is that in some way God can use her passion for this organization to bring others into His work.

Annette Moore has been nominated for Membership, Nurture and Outreach on our conference team. She attends Schoolfield UMC in Memphis, Tn.  She’s held the office  of Christian Social Action for  a year, was Vice President for two years, and President for five years at her current church.  She was on the Nominations Committee for the Asbury District for a year. She attends as many of the United Methodist Women functions as she can. She’s also worked with the After School Program at Frayser Elementary School that her church participates in.

Donna E Moore, nominated for Program Resources, is a life-long resident of Lauderdale County.  She joined the Methodist Church in 1966. She married Mike, her high school sweetheart in 1974.  They settled in the Concord Community after he graduated from Lambuth University. The active unit she found at Concord gave her many opportunities to exercise her faith, and she served as an officer for the unit for many years.  The family relocated to Halls, and after joining Halls UMC, she immediately joined the unit there. She’s serving as the Secretary of Program Resources and Social Action Coordinator to this day!  In 2002,

answering a call from God, she started the Sisterhood Circle of the Halls UMW.  Along with many outreach opportunities, the Sisterhood Circle’s focus is specifically geared toward feeding  and caring for the many essentials for children in need.  On a district level, Donna has served as Secretary of Program Resources for three years.  In August of 2007, Donna represented the Memphis Conference United Methodist Women at the National Seminar at Scarritt-Bennett in Nashville.  The event really highlighted her perception of our roles as advocates for those in need. She attended Dyersburg State Community College and the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.  She retired in 2008 and enjoys keeping her two grandsons.
