Mission Moments Don’t forget your local food banks this year! All of our food banks have had record years for food requests. Reelfoot Rural Ministries had a record breaking July, feeding over 240 families. That breaks down to over 700 people. Times are tough. Lots of people are out of work, lots of children are hungry. Don’t forget them! Looking for a service project? Have a food drive for your local food bank. Not sure where one is? Check with your local churches, and they’ll have a list (if they don’t have a food pantry themselves). All food is needed; cereal, coffee, flour, powdered milk, soups, pasta (spaghetti, macaroni), canned fruits, canned vegetables, juices, tea bags, biscuit mix.. The list is as long as your imagination. PLEASE! If you’re cleaning out a pantry, make sure the food hasn’t expired before you send it
The opportunities for mission is as numerous as there are people to fulfill them. |
